We can not deny the fact that only 2 big names were racing for the title: THE BEST INTERNET BROWSER. But, before we judge both competitors, let us first discuss their advantages and disadvantages:

Name

Obviously, just basing from its name, you would already know that this is for internet browsing. No wonder if they would sell yellow papers, they would name it as YELLOW PAPERS.

– Honestly, the first time I have heard the name, I associated it to a movie. Well, if you are not familiar with firefox, you would really think it as other tag or name.

Domain Name

– When you visit www.firefox.com, you will be redirected to the official website of the said browser.

– On the other hand, if you visit www.initernetexplore.com, the site also affiliates itself to the said product yet it is not the official website of the program. Since Microsoft owns the said product, then you should visit www.microsoft.com for more info.

What their users’ say…..

- it has so much popups, spywares, viruses and expensive.
– simple, tabbed browsing and an Open Source software (which helps address the poverty that most people have been experiencing).

Conclusion

It was a very close fight but only one must be awarded. And the winner is:

FIREFOX

Spam blogs, sometimes referred to by the neologism splogs, are artificially created weblog sites which the author uses to promote affiliated websites or to increase the search engine rankings of associated sites. The purpose of a splog can be to increase the PageRank or backlink portfolio of affiliate websites, to artificially inflate paid ad impressions from visitors, and/or use the blog as a link outlet to get new sites indexed. Spam blogs are usually a type of scraper site, where content is often either inauthentic text or merely stolen  from other websites. These blogs usually contain a high number of links to sites associated with the splog creator which are often disreputable or otherwise useless websites. Splogs are blogs where the articles are fake, and are only created for search engine spamming. (source: wikipedia)

Is your blog one of it?

Technology has already penetrated the academe, industry and even the business sectors. It seems to build a culture that one could not work without it. On the good side of it, technology really helps us a lot from the simplest task of keeping records and files up to large enterprise management tools such as Databases. These daily tools make our work done faster and nevertheless, it changes our lifestyles.

If we will base in today’s context, most of the people would move on to the open source community. These tools are under the GNU General Public License and could be used by anyone for as long it will not be used for one’s gain. The cost for enterprise operating systems such as Microsoft’s Windows Versions would range from $100 - $300. Therefore, to gain such advantage and avail such technologies, you need to invest more.

With the following constraints and settings nowadays, it clearly shows that there is really a need to address these problems. One of the latest and emerging researches today is about having a WebOS (Operating System over the Web). With the use of WWW as an organized body of inter-connected large body of networks, paired with the latest programming technique implementations such as AJAX (Asynchronous Javascript and XML),  a WebOS could really be possible and feasible.

Latin America’s richest man added more than $6 billion to his fortune this year. He sold off his stakes in MCI and Altria and used the proceeds to up his holding in Saks Inc; in his fixed line operator, Telmex; and in America Movil, his flagship wireless telecom outfit. The latest was a particularly smart move as America Movil’s stock has almost doubled in the past year. He also owns 71% of a new public company, Impulsora del Desarollo Economico de America Latina, which he spun off from financial services giant Grupo Financiero Inbursa. Inbursa also invested in a start-up budget airline called Volaris. An art collector, Slim houses his Rodin sculptures in Mexico City’s Museo Soumaya, the museum he funded and named after his late wife. His Grupo Carso is reportedly a combination of his first name and his late wife’s.
